The Arizona Department of Revenue (ADOR) is completing system modifications to start accepting electronically filed corporate returns in January 2020. Partnerships will also have an option to e-file their returns. Introduction of corporate e-filing will provide businesses with an easier and convenient way of filing tax returns.
In addition to adjustments being made to ADOR’s e-file computer system, the agency has been finalizing corresponding forms and schedules electronically for tax year 2019, as well as testing and approving more than a dozen software vendors available to companies requiring assistance in the filing process.
Legislation signed into law in 2017 gives companies an e-file option in 2020 for tax year 2019 and becomes mandatory for corporations starting in 2021 for tax year 2020 returns.
In tax year 2018, 183,000 corporate tax returns were filed with ADOR.
